Trying to download .pup file

I have been trying to download the update file via pc, as my ps3 will not let me access the internet without an update to the software. I have been unable to download the update from ps3 website as my computer doesn't recognize the file. Anyone else having this problem?

I am assuming your web browser is not properly identifying the file, so you have two choices.

For starters (though, you probably tried this), try right clicking -> save as on the file.

Furthermore, if that does not work, check out our Downloads section, the firmwares are compressed first, so you should have no problem downloading them, and then unraring them!
