Replace backgrounds in cover / sexy manager?

I have a file that should work - named BG.png. I replaced it with the stock one in the oman folder under usdir and now all I get is a white screen. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

make sure the extension is .PNG (all capitals)

Incorrect! Backgrounds should be name "BG.png" (Capital BG / Lowercase png)

make sure it is the correct size 1920x1080 pixels
