[Answered] PS3 Slim Swappable Hard Drives ?

Is it possible to have 2 swappable hard drives formatted and attributed to 1 PS3?

I would like to keep 3.41 on 1 drive and upgrade the second drive to allow online play... I am just unsure if the PS3 would force a format on my 3.41 drive when it was swapped back into the PS3 itself... Thanks for any help.

You CAN have 2 (or more hard drives) for use in one PS3 but unfortunatelly NOT on different FWs.

I believe you can't do this as the PS3 matches or pairs the mobo ID to that of the HDD. That's why you always have to format when inserting a different one.

The firmware is not saved on the HDD. You CANT change the firmware by changing the HDD. If it were possible, it would be to easy
