PS3 Slim Drive Board Lost, Remarry help?

Hey guys - I was swapping a laser on a slim ps3. The laser i ordered off ebay was wrong so sent it back for another, in the meantime I left the PS3 in pieces awaiting the new laser. Now I have it I cannot find where I put the drive board. Searched high and low, every bin, cannot bloody find it... Yes STUPID!!

Can I downgrade a PS3 slim to 3.55 and remarry another drive board from another unit?

Any help ever so greatly appreciated!!

Yes you can. That is exactly the process once the logic board is replaced.
