[Answered] PS3 retrieve idps/ps3id from broken PS3 help?

    Sponsored Links
    Hello all,

I am sorry if I'm asking something which is already explained a thousand times but after endless searching I've come to this as my only option left.

I have one banned PS3 and one ofw non-banned PS3 which has YLOD.

I was wondering if it was possible to get the data from the broken PS3 to put on the banned one. I am not asking how to transfer the data, just how to get them from the broken one and if that's possible.

    Thanks in advance!

If you had ever dumped your NOR/Nand Flash with multiman or some other app, then yes you can get it from that.

grab it by dumping the NAND/NOR and look for the offset for IDPS. The first 16 bits from that offset is the IDPS.

I did not do that, I bought the broken PS3 from a friend for 20 bucks hoping that I could fix it or could use the spare parts.

    So that's the only way?
