PS3 Red Screen help?

When i attempt to turn on my PHAT 80 gig ps3, i get this error, it shows the install screen like its updating and the text says "The previous operation was canceled, the system is trying to install again..." and then it goes to a red error screen with tons of languages on it, the english one reads "A serious error has occurred, contact tech support for assistance" How can i fix this, the firmware i was on was 3.56.

Try installing the firmware again from the recovery menu. The most common cause of the RSoD is a bad firmware installed.

The problem could also be your Hard drive or the GPU.
