PS3 Proxy trouble

SO I downlaoded the Battlefield demo onto my PC but and set the proxy all up correctly but when I set my PS3s settings to 'Use proxy' and type in the EXACT same IP address as the pC proxy uses, my internet connection seems to no longer work on the PS3.

Anyone know why this is or how to solve it?

which firmware do you use? i think its the newest... and it wont work with firmware 2.1+ am i right?

i'm on ps3 2.53 and ps3proxy has worked for me. i have been able to download and install game demos including armored core, sonic unleashed
