PS3 not detecting my External HDD help?

Hi fellas,

I bought new External HDD Seagate GoFlex 500GB. I wanted to format my HDD... But it says only two formats. NTFS and exFat. What should I do? Is there any software to format the HDD in FAT32? Can you guys help me out?

Yes. Search for HP Disk Management tool. Download it and format to FAT32.

Thanks it worked but I am losing like 333GB I don't understand the tool. But it helped. I can only able to use around 130GB out of 465GB. Do you know any other better software?

any decent partitioning software will take care of it, it's just the windows built in utility has a size limit on fat32 partitions to discourage it.

Swissknife will do the job and more.

If you do a search you will find a few, swiss army knife is on this site I think that is what I ended up using, you can format any size drive to fat 32, but again if you search there are a few others you can find.
