PS3 NETWORK gaming TAGS?

Hey peeps, been a while so it's good to be back, anyways down to business.

I was intreagued by the news a few weeks ago that users based outside of Japan and the US would be able to create their own user tags BEFORE the trusty PS3 reaches our shores. So, along comes the 17th and STILL no news of this, non for sale on eBay and not even a sniff of a mention ANYWHERE!!! on the net.

Can this be done? any PS owners out there help?

Best advice I could give you is to get in touch with someone you trust online that owns A PS3 and have them register the name for you. I was thinking the same exact thing. I'd seen a post about it on Digg a while back and couldn't find the site so I had to wait until 8:00 am when I could pick up my PS3 to register my name.

Cool, just one thing... I've seen the prcoess from start to finish and it can't be registered with a UK address, am I right???

No idea, I don't see why it would matter, it's just a regular internet sign-up form that's done through the PS3. I was going to respond to you last night, but something funky happened and I wasn't able to post.
