ps3 and media sharing?

hi there im new at this, ive got myself a ps3 and i have it hooked up to wireless network but i cant get it to share with my pc as in the network and sharing section the media sharing box does not show up it is missing i can go to media player to share but when i open up media player i get the box up saying that media sharing is turned off so as i said when i go to turn it on it just isnt there, could someone help me with problem before i go insain, im running vista premium.
