[UnAnswered] PS3 JailBreak External HDD Problem?

    Sponsored Links
I am having problems with backup manager detected backups on my external.

Fat ps3 with ps3key boots & plays from internal perfectly. invested in an external to speed things up but backup manager just wont show any games.

I can backup games from disc to the external & they show up but it just wont show any that i transfer from ps3 to usb HDD.

They are placed in folder GAMEZ. any idea what i could be doing wrong?

    thanks

There are 2 reasons it might not work:

    1. Be sure that you formatted it in FAT32! NTFS DOES NOT WORK!
    2. The folder must be all uppercase ( " GAMEZ " )

    Hope I helped...

its defnitely FAT32 & named GAMEZ. it just let me backup Gran Turismo onto it and shows up in Backupmanager & boots. I formatted using an old HP Usb format tool as i know windows7 uses exFAT. I will try again with swissknife and see if that helps.

    thanks

SwissKnife doesnt work on windows 7 x64

Don't use Swissknife! Use built in tools!

Just right click on drive and select FAT32 and default allocation size. Format it. Mission Accomplished.

I think you game folder as to be called like BLES00763 (example) to see them in open manager !
I use NZHawk's Awsome mountpoint manager to mount games with different Name (My dirt 2 folder is called Dirt2 instead of BLES00763).

Try with NZHawk's Awsome mountpoint manager, awsome tool !

And for the fat32 formating tool, I use fat32format: (softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/FAT32format.shtml) which is easy to use, no need to install, it s just a command line tool !
