PS3 Internal Hard Drive Wipe help?

Hi Guys, I was wondering how to wipe and format the internal harddrive. I put a bunch of unknown files into the drive and I am now lacking Harddrive space. So I wanted to format the drive with the PS3 so That I can start over with a clean 3.55.

Do I just use the system restore feature on the PS3? If I do, do i need to install cfw 3.55 again or the OFW again to start up?

Just go to Settings -> System -> Format Utility and select Format Hard Drive.

CAUTION: This will erase EVERYTHING on the drive, including all backed up games, saves, game data, media, etc.

You will not need to reinstall the firmware.
