    [UnAnswered] PS3 Firmware upgrade

    Any one know which firmware I need in order to play PS2 games on PS3. People said 80GB PS3 is able to play PS2 game if have the right firmware.

    Need more detail about firmware upgrade on PS3.

    As far as I know the 80GB Version is equal to my European 60GB Version. My PS3 was shipped with the 1.50 Firmware and I had to update to 1.60 which enabled the PS2 Support. So you have to have at least this firmware to be able to play PS2 Games, lower Firmware won't boot them. Later Firmware Versions are also fine. I hope this is want you wanted to know
