It's just what I'm doing now.

    Update: done!

    I found coldboot files on fw 2.80 into dev_flash_012.tar.aa.2009_06_16_054149, dev_flash_013.tar.aa.2009_06_16_054149, dev_flash_014.tar.aa.2009_06_16_054149 and dev_flash_015.tar.aa.2009_06_16_054149.

You can find them here -> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SI1D3FB2 pass: ps3news

I assume you already have tried some pup extracting tools then you can compile your owen JB for 2.80. If i remember right then there was also the offset and the magic key to compile a 2.80 JB in kakarotos git.

Using tools currently available (coldboot creators), you may end up making your own. There are videos of the coldboot online that you can strip the sound from, or mp3s available to download. I didn't see an already custom .raf with this sound in it, but there are repositories around to browse through.

Yes, you should use overfl0w tools.

Are you sure? I downgraded my slim ps3 untill 2.70 fw (minimal supported for my ps3) and I didn't see the original and classic coldboot.

If you tell me the correct fw version including the original and classic coldboot, I could decrypt that fw and got them.

I think the old coldboot sequence was changed on fw 2.42, shouldn't be hard to find and extract that now.

fw 2.42? Are you sure? If it is the correct fw, I'll download and extract it.

I'll do it tomorrow, now it's time to sleep for me.

I was also seeking the coldboot files for the "classic" boot screen, I would appreciate it if you posted those files so I could also use it.

    Happy for you.

Hmm weird, I downgraded my slim ps3 until 2.70 (and 2.76 too) but I didn't see original and classic coldboot.

Probably slim model doesn't read it fine or just read only new cooldboot (probably they install new coldboot at moment of fw installation, there will be a check on fw to do that LOL). Maybe a substitution from 2.80 coldboot is what needs.

Extract the pup on your pc and take the classic coldboot from there.
