    [Answered] Need help installing 3.55 OFW over 3.55 CFW

    Hey everyone, I want to install a fresh 3.55 OFW over my 3.55 CFW but I am having a little trouble doing so.

    My PS3 currently sits on some CFW which I can't remember which one it is (it is able to run PS1 Backups on my Slim, and has QA Flag Enabled). It also has some kind of 3.66 Spoofer installed on it.

    When I go to update, I can't install the 3.55 OFW because the PS3 thinks that it is 3.66, and seeing as I don't know how it is spoofed 3.66, I cannot get it to go down to 3.55 to install the fresh firmware.

    Can anyone help me out with this?

    Install in safe mode. Hold the power button, let it beep and shut off. Then hold it down again and let it beep twice. Then scroll down to system update and plug in your usb drive with OFW and follow the on screen prompts.

    Thanks, safe mode worked perfectly! Weird that QA Flag is still enabled on 3.55 OFW.
