how much is a ps3 debug console worth??

hey ive heard alot about these tests consoles, and that you can do stuff with them that you couldnt on a normal ps3. what are these and what would one be worth? cheers.

As for what they are worth, they have been selling for between $700-$1400 to people I know over the last year... although a few on eBay went for a bit more ($2000 range).
