How to delete update files - Red Dead?

Hello! So I've noticed RDR does not work when there are update files already installed. RDR shows as the disk being loaded in br-drive, but when it launches system freezes.

Is there a way to delete the update files to get the game working? Is there any other work-around for this game?

This happens with Uncharted 2 and Saints Row 2 aswell....

Delete the update files under Game Data Utility.
