help, no game sound on optical out

can anyone help me fix the no sound when playing a game? I currently connected my ps3 using hdmi to my lcd tv & setup my audio to optical out. when playing bluray movies, the sound comes out perfect but when I tried playing nba 2k7, there is no sound at all.

Have you checked sound settings in the game itself?

when setting up the hdmi go to custom setup (for audio) and make sure u have selected the right right out out.

I know your problem, (Goto Audio Output Settings in the XMB) you can't have Doubly Digital 5.1 Ch. enabled, leave DTS 5.1 Ch. on though, guarenteed fix
