Help checking PS3 console version info?

I am new here and want to have my ps3 downgraded... how do i check the lowest version I could downgrade to?

Before you use minverchk, it's worth it to first check the model number of your console:

If it's CECH-3xxx or CECH-4xxx, it's not downgradable, period.
If it's CECH-25xx, run minverchk to find out if it's downgradable.
If it's CECH-2xxx or a phat, then it is downgradable.

Someone of the cech2501 can be downgraded even if they say 3.56 when you run that program. thanks
