GT5 PS3 Updates help?

Recently 1.07 patch came and I decided to install it over my 1.06 game, so now when I boot it up it hangs on a black screen after the polyphony digital screen, btw I can still exit to XMB. The only way to make it work its deleting the Installed Data and replacing the new eboot with the old one. I tried every single update, fixing permissions, with or w/o disk, multiman or gaia.. nothing seems to work.
