Firmware 1.92, am i ok for homebrew/hacks?

As title says im currently on F/W 1.92, reason being is ive just got into the hacking scene and and have been updating since then. as im waiting for homebrew and hacks, will this fimware version be best to stay at, as there is 2.0 out at the end of the month
