    [UnAnswered] External Harddrive for PS3

    I have a 80gb external hard disc, when i connect it to my ps3, nothing happens. Is it possoible to use a external hard drive through the PS3 usbs?

    I too have an external hard drive. But it is of a rather small form factor, has only 1 usb cable from it and requires no additional power. Furthermore it is formated with the Fat32 file system. It works perfectly with my ps3 so obviously certain drives do work. If you provide some more info about your drive then maybe we can pinpoint why it's not working.
