Euro launch games

Got my PS3 and according to reports its 1.50. Can I buy a game? or will it force me to upgrade before playing it? ie do the launch games have 1.51 or over or even 1.6 on the disc?

I want to stay at 1.50 for obvious reasons, but I want to get resistance fall of man and actually be able to play it without upgrading. help... if I dont have a PS3 game to play this weekend, the missus will make me tile the bathroom!

i have too a euro ps3. i have buyed motorstorm and resistance and no update is needed on a 1.50 ps3.

no problem, in my opinion the best ps3 launch game. but i suggest to play it on a hdready tv. its amazing!

does somebody know if call of duty needs a update... i want to stay at 1.50 also...

As far as i know (in the UK running an NTSC console) updates are only required when going online...
As that is when the firmware check takes place :-)

Hi,

I have a JAP PS3 at v1.32 and do not want to update any further until we here from the GODS

I bought Virtua Tennis (UK version) and it is asking me to update to v1.5.

I think I will hold off and see what happens
