Downgrade from 3.50 FW?

So I just found out my friend updated to 3.50 OFW, and I'm trying to help him jailbreak but I'm unsure if he restores his system if his FW will go back down to 3.41-. Is this possible? He has a fat 80gb ps3.

Correct, short of using an Infectus mod-chip on PS3 FW 2.20 or under units there is no way to downgrade PS3 Firmware at this time.
