[UnAnswered] Play HD-DVD's on you PS3!!!

Screw Paramount and their HD-DVD exclusives. Matrix, Transformers, Batman, ... and the rest of those HD-DVD exclusives can all be played on your PS3 without having to reconvert the video and losing any quality. I have uploaded a file on gametrailers that shows batman being played on a PS3. I am just sick of people downplaying the media player abilities of the PS3.

Next time post it in the Site News.. more people will see it, and it automatically creates a thread here in the Forums too... but cool stuff.

It's not your fault.. I don't think many people know they can yet as we just started it 1-2 weeks ago and only a handful of people have posted thus far.

Basically, to make a Site News post all you have to do (while logged in) is click on the Submit a New Story tab at the top of the main page (http://www.ps3news.com) and it will bring you here: http://www.ps3news.com/submit

Then, post the URL to your video followed by the info you wish to share on it and submit it. The Staff then reviews the submissions and approves all of the non-spam ones (obviously we get 'junk' submissions like "buy viagra" etc haha) but once it's approved it goes to the main page and her0 (RSS Bot) copies the post to our Forums here for discussion automatically.

the video shows the disc as avchd and under it you can read dvd-rw. think it's only a disc of a camcorder and not really "that" hd-dvd as we know as a rival format to blue ray.

    only high def....not more...

I actually dont have a youtube account so I cant post it there unless I create one. But as for good news, I think that there will be a video showing how to take an HD-DVD backup and change it so that it will play on the PS3. No transcoding, only remuxing the VC-1 and ac3 audio into a .m2ts file. Sweet

I already know how to mux avc & ac3/dts to create a AVCHD but i realy wanna try with vc1
I read that xmuxer was used to mux the vc1 in to a ts file then TsRemux to blu-ray structure. I haven't tried it yet myself.

I have tried before to play the m2ts VC1 files from a bluray disc straight from XBM with out success, and I don't really want to burn 2 DL DVD disc for a movie. I'd rather re-encode to mpeg2 and play it from the XBM, but thats just me.
