Can't install PS3 OFW from XMB or recovery mode help?

I have PS3 Slim CECH-2104B/250GB set on CFW 3.55 but no matter what i do i can't install OFW or any other update from xmb or recovery mode , so i rerstor PS3 System from recovery mode (choice n.5) and my FW is 3.55 but i still can't install any update from xmb or recovery mode it show this error code 80029C55.

When i use recovry mode it says theres no update detected.

It seems the problem was the USB drive once i used another one everything goes smoothly.
