Can I use my PSP to Jailbreak my PS3 help?

Hello ps3news! I just picked up a used PS3 (model CECH-2002b) running firmware 4.25 and obviously I wanna jailbreak this bad boy. I've read that I need to downgrade it to 3.55 first which I'm totally willing to do, I'm just having trouble finding some particular info about the hardware required.

I performed my own jailbreak back when 3.41 was the current firmware and I used my PSP for that. Is it still possible to use the same PSP to downgrade my 4.25 to 3.55? I figure that'll save me a lot of bother waiting for new hardware to arrive in the mail.

As far as I know you have to use a NAND/NOR flasher after 3.55 firmware.

You will need a hardware flasher like progskeet, e3 etc to downgrade. the psp can only be used once you've patched the nor with the help of a flasher. read up on it. this is true for any OFW above 3.55. best of luck.
