    [Answered] Can i sign up for PSN without updating?

    Is it possible to sign up for psn and play games online without updating?

    I just bought a ps3 2 days ago and i am currently waiting for my jailbreak to come in the mail.

    I am version 3.41...

    I was hoping i could hop on psn for a little bit just to play around but it said an update was required.

    Not possible, you can sign up via your PC, but to play games on PSN you must update at the moment. You can play online using XLink Kai or XBSlink without updating though.
