Can games automatically update firmware?

Hi all,

So I've just updated my PS3 slim to 3.41 and I'm waiting for my PS3key to arrive in the post but I just wanted to know whether I can actually play any games whilst I'm waiting for it to arrive?

Basically I'm just worried that the game will automatically update the PS3's firmware when I put it in the disc drive so can this happen without me being able to stop it?

Also, I know this sounds stupid, but blu ray movies can't update the PS3 can they?!?

This has been covered already, but the answer is no. You will always be asked to agree to update and the terms, etc so yes you do get fair warning.
