A scam - probably not, he is selling a part.Sponsored Links
However, they are tied per system, so a replacement will not work, as it is not tied to the motherboard.
Righto.. CJPC, is there any possible way i could purchase that board, rework the boards, remove a certain chip that stores the keys?Sponsored Links
Preform a system format.
Sadly not yet - short of swapping the main CPU and flash between the boards, the flash is of course, encrypted, which the CPU (on the drive) takes care of - swapping them both and you should be OK, but if your old board is shot, it would be a good guess that the CPU is hosed as well.
Too bad eh, I've read that the IC's tend to be faulty, however im convinced the board is shot, most likely my own doing, iv had the drive apart so many times trying to sort the problem.
Thanks for clearing that up CJPC and thanks for the quick response.
Many thanks, scopeh
