Best / Easiest way to install PS3 Linux on 3.55 CFW?

I currently have Kmeaw CFW 3.55 installed & was thinking about installing Linux again, I had Yellow Dog Linux installed years ago when there was still an option built in for it, anyway I'm kinda noobish when it comes to Linux & from what I've read Ubuntu seems to be the most user friendly.

Any help, or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
