Backup Blu-ray movies to PS3 with Multiman or FTP help?

I could of sworn you could of backed up your Blu-rays via Multiman. I wanted to back up my copy of Inception because it was getting scratched from wear. Multiman would give me a copy option but when the copy started it would errorr out. Not even 1byte gets transferred over and then I get a delete folder y/n alert for botched copy.

Later tried Avatar, same deal... Any thoughts ?

my guess would be it is not encoding it (does not has software ripping or codec ripping) just saying i am not sure of anything just a thought i will look into that for you though...
