Any PS3 slim downgradable help?

since this forum has been so great i had one last quick question. can any slim model be downgraded (by flashing or any other means) or only certain ones? i am looking into getting a slim but don't want to get the wrong model. i've read it cant be downgraded below the firmware it came with but i don't know if that's true.

Only certain ones. The 120 and 250s those can be. The 160 and the 320 are up in the air. It all depends what firmware came shipped with. If they came shipped with 3.56 or higher then they can only go down as far as they came with.

If it came shipped with 3.56 then it can only go to 3.56 and so on. It is best to check the date when they were made. All phats are downgrades able. Thanks.

CECH-2503B was the last downgradable model although some of these were shipped with 3.56 firmware. i had one with 3.56 which still downgraded to 3.55 cause it had 3.50 factory minimum i bought it as new from eBay Tesco factory outlet. but i think sony must have told them to update the consoles to 3.56 to patch the jailbreak quite a while ago. anyway some of thes emodels do actually have a factory minimum of 3.56 and wont downgrade to 3.55. i was told.
