60gb ps3s run hotter than 40gb?

i've been working with 40gb ps3s and 60gb ps3s for awhile. is it just me or do the 60gb ps3s always run hotter?

my personal 40gb even after its been on for 3 hours still blows cool air. but 60gb ps3s that ive experienced are always hot from the get go. google tells me this is because the first batch of 60gb ps3s had sucky fans or something?

so what's the story!

Well my personal point of view, as 60gb has backwards compatibility means it has ps2 cpu & gpu which are additional source of heat.

it also 90nm cpu/gpu while 40gb no ps2 hardware also it has 65nm cpu and 90nm gpu which reduces the heat.

The 40GB has less features than the 60GB. That's less components to produce heat.
