    Question [Answered] 20 gb wifi question help?

    I have a 20 gb ps3 launch model and a busted 40gb, is it possible to use the wifi / bluetooth card from the 40 to achieve wifi on the 20gb?

    Oh, I didn't know the 20GB ones didn't have wireless. I would guess that the process of updating the firmware looks at the console type and only installs the software modules for correct hardware. If that's the case then the best you can do is stick a cable in it.

    I don't see why not, AKAIK the only thing married to the motherboard is the BD drive.

    well on the 20gb there are no options for wireless, i did try and switch boards but the PS3 won't detect it for some reason. i even updated it to 3.55 OFW and still nothing.

    I just wondered if there was a way being the motherboard looks tha same as a 60GB launch and the wifi card works in that one. i did a swap to verify the card was working.
