RFOM Exploit possible?

HELP NEEDED - I can't figure out what happened! I have sent hours researching/testing... Any ideas?

This is how it all begun... I had a PS3 NTCS/US with firmware 1.31. I bought the game Resistance (NTCS/US) and Fear (NTCS/US) which requires firmware 1.54 to work and the swap trick worked. I played the WHOLE game!

I then purchased Splinter Cell Double Agent (NTCS/US) which I believe requires 1.54 as well and tried with Resistance and it doesn't work, I see a message that says; "Game experience might change, blah, blah..." and then the screen goes to black and stays there forever.

I then purchased Rainbow Six Vegas (NTCS/US) which requires 1.70 to work and tried with Resistance and it doesn't work, I see a very fast glimpse of the Ubisoft logo and then it goes back to the XMB menu.

I then decided to purchase the game Formula 1 but to run that I had to update to 1.32... which I did and tried all the above again and I got the SAME results!

YES I HAVE DELETED the update folder as well checked for OTHER things to remove... gosh, I have even FULL REFORMATTED my hard drive and started from scratch. SAME stuff happens as mentioned above. Does ANYONE know what the problem might be? Because I had it working with FEAR when I was on 1.31... this is DRIVING ME NUTSSSS!!!

Sorry to say this but most likely those games require something from a higher fw, but Fear didn´t. You just might have to update. You could try going up one fw at a time to see when it would start working.

@ aries2k6 - i am sorry to say pal but there were people on this thread here and others that posted that the games, splinter cell double agent and rainbow six vegas HAD WORKED with firmware 1.31 and 1.32.

there must be something else going on with my system...

Has anyone tried Warhawk via the swap method? I've tried running it on firmware 1.50 and it's a no-go.... just wondering what the lowest firmware it will run on is.

Alright, my bad. I wasn´t sure if it had been confirmed as working on your fw. The only thing I can think of is maybe a different region game? can you confirm those disks were the same region as yours. wasn´t 1 region splinter cell confirmed working and another one not? not sure. it´s been awhile since I read through the whole thread.

@aries2k6 - that is what is weird, some people have said that they had the NTSC and some said they had the PAL. then some people said they BOTH should work. this is really strange to me... i have no idea what is going on... i am pondering in getting a PAL version of splinter cell or rainbow six from ebay to check it out... cuz this is driving me nuts

Hi!

I would like to know if the warhawk (retail) link is playable.

I don't care at all, I buy it on the PSN and is just to know if an exploit on the PSN was found recently to play with, but I can't test by my self I "install" Warhawk and don't want to "desinstall" it on my PS3...
