Ya, would have liked to have tried originals.. but I don't have one disc game for my PS3, and I borrowed the F1 from a friend that only had it. :P But I'm pretty sure there was no update for it that needed uninstalled unless it came with one of the fw updates I d/led. That was the first time that particular game had been played on my PS3 and it booted with no messages/warnings about an update so I am assuming that there wasn't any sort of update for it like there was for rfom.

I was just curious about what happened so that I would know to what point things were/weren't working with the backup when I tried it. Didn't know if after swapping the game it went all the way back out to XMB or it just booted the game without exiting back ot the XMB etc.

So from reading this thread it doesn't seem like any of these exploits are working on a NTSC (US) v1.7 PS3. Am I right?

Hi All,

I have a 1.50 JAP PS3 and I can confirm the swaping method works good for:

PAL Motorstorm (No need to bypass firmware for this as it runs on 1.50. Still works though) My save data does not load with Motorostorm though.

PAL F.E.A.R (Bypasses firmware due to requiring 1.51 firmware to play) My save data does not load with F.E.A.R either.

NTSC Splinter Cell DA (Bypasses firmware due to requiring 1.54 firmware to play) Took awhile to load after the Ubisoft splash, is this normal? Also, This game Saves & Loads fine! Very pleased

Ive got a US Ps3 FW 1.54 and the RFOM Exploit works - but i dont have a game that requires a higher FW - but all games seem to load without any problem.

I can confirm that the swap trick works after deleting the game data for RFOM PAL. Swapped game: Motorstorm PAL.

This is on my PAL PS3 with firmware 1.70.

I know, not really an eploit. Yet. Very cool that it works anyway. Great job everyone! Will try the save games later. Gotta go...

Very nice find!!! 1 more confirmation: Pal PS3 1.5 + RFOM(Pal) works.

Can anyone confirm if your able to load and save Oblivion through RFOM instead of F1? Wouldn´t mind picking up that game.

is this possible if you use the resistance - fall of man demo? i currently don't have any ps3 games, just demos from the playstation store.

Yeah I hope someone will try boot BD-R backup game. But I think it won't work coz PS2 Backup not work even my PS2 original (Yeah, same region as the system, has game save data or no game save data give the same result. It's back to XMB)
