A QUESTO PUNTO VORREI FARE UN PICCOLO RIASUNTINO DEI FATTI ACCDUTI:

- ieri sera Giuliorilascia una Beta. Specifica il metodo di utilizzo, ma non dice in realtà a cosa serve questa beta.

- Vari utenti la provano. L'utente GIO25 dice di aver completato tutta la procedura senza errori e di aver ottenuto come risultato un immagine nella XMB nella sezione GIOCHI. Tale immagine , a suo dire, sarebbe il logo di PS3 NEWS. Anche altri utenti provano la beta , ma tutti riscontrano un errore al 99% della fase del ripristino.

- La mattinata è lunga e tutti gli utenti si chiedono come mai Giulio tardi. C'è chi fa varie ipotesi ma poi ci ricordiamo che Giulio ha la scuola.

- Alle ore 15 circa Giulio fa ritorno. Vede la situazione e chiarisce che:
1. la beta funziona
2. la prova è data dal fatto che da l'errore al 99 % ma che comunque riesce in qualche modo ad avviare la procedura.
3. la beta non prevede ASSOLUTAMENTE la visione di un immagine con il logo di PS3 NEWS.

- Infine Giulio dice che rilascerà un nuovo video.

i think that the good thing about this its that we are all getting to know the ps3 dev work, its a matter of try and try and try and fail, i think we have to keep on trying, it is a good thing, in my case i got it up to 100% then i got a corrupt icon on my xmb, but this means it works, because it did transfer the files, but for some reason they are not fully recognized by the ps3, but if someone knows how to write ps3 codes and manage to transfer at least a modified savedata or demo would be amazing step for the dev community.

the problem its that there's this competition about getting the ps3 hack, it seen no one wants to work together, how many dev teams are, how many moders or hackers we´ve known, non success, for the ps3 there is not a beginning yet, because for most of you its easier to call it fake, or make some stupid youtube video just to fool people, it also hard to know who have the voice to say its fake or its real, this project will fade out as all of the past efforts of other ps3 dev teams.

this is the reason there is not beginning, and then we ask our self why do we need this, its not for playing backup games, or get free games over internet or emulate other consoles, we all own pcs that do that, most of all owns a 360 craked, the reason we want this its to say that we did it, thats all, its our choice to keep on it and open the potential of the ps3 or keep calling every effort o trial fake...

I tried it and i got to 100% then the error. It rebuilt the database and no error there so it didn't ask to format. When i got to the xmb i found no new game:/

I used the GTHD v2.0 pkg. All the other things where there tho...

Can u specific step by step what u made during backup, rename and restore?

We want to know if someone make errors during step by step on tutorial

if u said there was a corrupt icon on ur xmb, can u please make a photo or a video? It´s for talk to all peoples coming here that it can be not a fake.

Tutorial "Clean" Ps3 Backup Tool
1 - Save your Ps3 system in usb >4gb or external hdd
2 - Plug Usb or hdd external to pc
3 - Copy all files/folders from usb/hdd (PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\200901031321)
to a new folder in PC
4 - Rename any pkg to archive_00.dat and replace existing file in the new folder
5 - Format usb/hdd to fat32
6 - Copy files from the new folder back to usb/hdd ONLY in this order =>
archive2.dat + archive.dat + archive_00.dat
(This step is crucial to fix 99% error)

and what about achive2_00.dat (the real big file...) ?

Without it the ps3 says ther is no backup data yet.

guys my backup are consists only of 2 files...

1 archive.dat & 1 archive_00.dat

and total file size of 78.9mb.. (my backups consists of game saves only)

replace archive_00.dat with the one from the pack

first add archive2.dat then archive2_00.dat and thern the rest
