guessin the validation of the sign is still in mem from motorstorm
Good point, i guess the older games have the same encryption, thats the reason why only few old games work. That makes it also hard to code a "hello world" program.
@mekisi
The Save Exploit works only with Motorstorm1, not Pacific Rift!
But question at the Devs here: Why we can play only some games?
What makes them different?
CJPC may reply with a more detailed explanation, but one of the Devs on IRC said it's because PS3 Firmware update 2.70 added the DRMDIR so you can no longer replace them to begin with.

Hmmm... Is he saying that Clone CD will dump and give a decrypted image?
Sounds way too easy to me.
nope clonecd cant decrypt anything... but its prolly more like you're getting proper images with clonecd/alcohol/daemontools than by using the raw method in linux.
i only got 3 ps3 games so far (naruto, siren, ridge racer7)
and only tested about the eject working... and the results are:
naruto (even with hdd installation) - 'please wait...' box and back to xmb
siren - 'please wait...' and back to xmb
ridge racer7 (with hdd installation if i remember well) - continues playing the game, goes game menue etc etc.
so the reason for the old games seems that they're just able to continue playing when you eject the disc... guess it has been discussed already tho
i dont know if this helps but here goes:
install ubuntu then install Virtual Machine
Installation of Windows XP
Next thing we want to do is Install Windows (XP) !
First we need a virtual machine
Insert your Windows (XP) CD into your CDROM drive
Open the VMware Server Console
select 'Create a new virtual machine'
=> Next => Next => Select Windows Xp (or whatever Windows versions you want to install )
=> Next => Enter a name and select a location for the Virtual Machine File (It contains the virtual harddisk, so it needs quite some space, min 2 GB, but I would recommend 8+ GB )
=> Next => Select Network type. I am using NAT, but choose whatever fits you ( or your mood )
=> Next => Choose the size for the Virtual Disk and set other preferences
=> Next => Finish
Now we can start the newly made virtual machine and the install of Windows!
Start the virtual machine
Hopefully it detects your Windows install CD and will start the installation! If it won't boot from the CD, stop the virtual machine and check/change the preferences for the virtual machine regarding the CD drive
Enjoy the installation and the freedom to use Ubuntu while installing

Is there a Way to crack that DRM Protection?
Yeah if CJPC have time to reply it will be very nice

Is this the beginning of proper PS3 Iso releases?
It would also a proof if the iso is different to a only linux dumped iso!
