    Hey guys,

    I would like to bring to your attention a video just posted on Youtube showing an intresting crash in the XMB when loading a corrupt libtiff. Its not the same like with the original tiff exploit, but more of a momentary system crash/lag in the system (buffer overrun?) Anyhows, below is a link to the video;

    You can also test this file yourselves by downloading it on the following link, lets see if it can be any use to anyone erhem devs

    Dude,it does NOT work for me.

    Anyway, what do you want to do with this "exploit"?
    You don't overwrite the instruction pointer (else the PS3 would crash completely, or not?).

    Correct me, if i'm wrong

    Hi
    The same thing happened with gta san andreas on the ps3 connected via an external dvd player.
    perhaps there is something between the usb port and files of ps2
    the libtiff you took from the ps2?

    Wait. You have to press /\ on the external device and even on the corrupted file. The PS3 should freeze now.

    @apie
    The .tiff file doesn't make any modification to the system, and doesn't crash it complitely. But I think this Exploit, or bug if you like, could be used for something. Just like these Exploits came out recently for PSP.
