Those sites, who reported the news are serious, but I'll wait for an official announcement from PSJB.

Every other things we are talking at the moment are just conjecture.

MKV support would be sooo awesome!! Yea, I can watch MKV video on my laptop, but the PS3 has HDMI and my parents have a 46" HDTV, would love to watch my MKV files on their TV. Part of the reason I sold my PS3 was because of lack of MKV video support.

I couldn't afford to pay $60 a game, I couldn't watch my video files, my internet connection is slow and laggy, so it just basically sat there... the real sad thing is...the old Xbox1 could *PLAY* MKV files with XBMC but they were out of sync... the PS3 would flat out say "not supported"... that's kind of embarrassing in my opinion. But I think the most important thing right now is compatibility and fixing the games that have online updates.

I've the an 50" Plasma and trans code the *.mks with 3r1c's mkv2vob converter into MPEG, let them split in 2 GB packages,
copy them to my USB-Stick and watch it in 1080p.

Yup this works well. I just stream via ps3 media server all my HD content including mkv's which I make myself from Blu Rays. Love that little program. One thing it has to be hard wired or forget about streaming any HD content.

Is NTFS also possible with the Teensy++2.0 or has it only something to do with the backup manager? I mean is the NTFS support in the Backup Manager or the .hex file from the PS jailbreak.

only one thing comes to mind... wait untill the product ships to release you "clone solutions" for others that dont feel like paying $150 for a usb microcontroler setup...

but now that we have a clone that dosent matter it just means that there will be people developing new homebrew for the PSGroove exploit to do the same... ultimately the fact that psjailbreak is trying to cover there ass with security is actualy pretty helarious.

think about it the first people to release a hack for the the ps3 and try to sell it sends out a bunch of free coppies witch get cloned then they try to beef up there security... hackers fighting hackers at this point... i cant wait to see until Sony strikes back...

I talk to PSJB sales, and actually firmware 3.42 is what they're waiting for

This is the ace card they have and reasons why they not gonna lower the price even though the clones and PSgroove on the horizon..
