awesome man thanks for all your help.

i'm really thinking i want to give this a try the only thing stopping me at this point is being able to programme the chip. if i can't find someone to do it for me its going to be a pain cause the programmers themselves are fairly expensive over here and it would be better off just buying the board for $50.

but i can get a cheap breadboard from dicksmiths for $2, the chip for $5 and the crystal for cheap as well so might be worth it and would be more fun

Though, as the earlier person said with his link to the schematic of the USB key, I would highly reccomend for home hobbiests to stay away from QFN packages, they are hard to solder with a soldering iron, and most people do not have a hot air station, and a Paint stripper would be very hard to use for a first timer to solder the IC.

I hope someone can port this code to a PIC, as they are much easier to use since they are DIP, such as the pic18f4520 or the 18f4550. I do not think they can though because of the PID changes on the fly.

Just struck me though, you can use a old board that has the same pitch and amount of pins if you can luckly find one. Cut out the board that has the pads for the IC, desolder previous IC, and solder on the new ic, and then solder on some high gauge wire to the pads and plug it into a bread board if you REALLY want to save money

Oh well, I hope I helped some people out that wanted to make their own PSGroove

I tried the teensy and the at90usbfiles but nothing. I have been trying for the last 3hrs.. nothing.

I don't know why i always have bad luck!!!

could you try this .hex file?

i think the problem is, that the teensy-board has a 16MHz-clock, but the avr-usb-162 has only an 8mhz clock

i compiled it with a setting of 8mhz, maybe this will work.
