    not without writing a new usb-driver... PCs are usb-hosts, they cant go into slave-mode which is needed for the exploit.

    then why forget?

    even better, the interface the arduino uses to be programmed and communicated by usb is through FTDI FT232RL
    No, because PS3 will only see the FTDI FT232RL which only functions as RS232 device. So the Atmel can not do all the necessary hub emulation and disconnect/reconnect stuff of several devices. It is necessary to connect USB signal directly to the Atmel. You probably can cut traces, rewire the board etc. of course

    anyone still looking for a board might consider the avrxplain:

    [Register or Login to view links]

    they use the same chip as the at90usbkey (at90usb1287) for usb-communication

    according to the wiki the parameters to compile with should be:

    MCU = at90usb1287
    BOARD = XPLAIN
    F_CLOCK = 8000000

    Thanks B1O I was wondering what the difference between at90usbkey and AT90USBKEY2 - it seem to be the same as they use the same chip. So maybe i can also get one of those usbkey2 flash them with the AT90USBKEY-psgroovecjpc.hex.

    Regarding the AT90USB162 Olimex i was wondering if i it's preferable that I use your HEX (8hz) or the last one you post psgroove-olimex-162-patched.zip with the Led working?

    Thanks

    you can disconnect it, it just has to be connected until you see the menu.
