    Eye Pet Move doesn't work with Hermes v3 and OM 1.15 - I'm stuck at the EyePet building with music looping forever.

    Was there a combination of Payloads and Backup Managers that played this correctly?

    Figgzor, are you sure you're using a retail update package and not the debug? When you reboot into normal (non-JB) mode, the package should be installable.

    new update is now out!
    v1.16 changelog

    - patched mode returns and now works for hermes V3 and previous versions that include peek/poke calls (v > psgroove 1.1)

    Notes: patched mode in hermes V3 is an aggressive mode for those of you who still have problems with hermes v3 normal mode, again do not use patched mode in normal games without issue or for normal operations like FTP/COPY.

    Updates still dont work. I tried Resident Evil 5 and it still refuses to run when the update is installed. I have to remove the eboot.bin to run it.

    I want these updates to work so I can use the Move with those games.

    It depends really on the game - but compatibility was improved so just give a try and you'll see.

    Maybe I need to sleep now but is this right? The normal mode is now 2 and the manager starts with this! 2 = Special for games as F1 2010 (option by default)?

    What does the mode stand for?
    mode:
    0 -> PS3 perms normally
    1 -> Psjailbreak by default,
    2 -> Special for games as F1 2010 (option by default)

    From syscall8.h
    Code:
    /*

    sys8_perm_mode: function to changes as work 0x80000000000505d0 calls (connected with access permissions)

    mode: 0 -> PS3 perms normally, 1-> Psjailbreak by default, 2-> Special for games as F1 2010 (option by default)

    return: 0 - Ok

    */

    int sys8_perm_mode(uint64_t mode);
    From main.cpp (row 1732)
    Code:
    uint64_t patchmode = 2;  //0 -> PS3 perms normally, 1-> Psjailbreak by default, 2-> Special for games as F1 2010 (option by default)
    if(sys8_enable(0) > 0)
    {
    	sys8_perm_mode(patchmode);
    }
    else
    {
    	pokeq(0x80000000000505d0ULL, memvaloriginal);
    }
    From main.cpp (row 2131)
    Code:
    if ((new_pad & BUTTON_R2))
    {
    	if(sys8_enable(0) < 0)
    	{
    		if(peekq(0x80000000000505d0ULL) == memvaloriginal)
    		{
    			pokeq(0x80000000000505d0ULL, memvalnew);
    			patchmode = 0; //patched
    		}
    		else
    		{
    			pokeq(0x80000000000505d0ULL, memvaloriginal);
    			patchmode = 2; //normal
    			//reset game list
    			old_fi=-1;
    			counter_png=0;
    			forcedevices=(1);
    			game_sel=0;
    		}
    	}
    	else
    	{
    		if (patchmode == 2)
    		{
    			patchmode = 0; //patched
    			sys8_perm_mode(patchmode);
    		}
    		else
    		{
    			patchmode = 2; //normal
    			sys8_perm_mode(patchmode);
    		}
    	}

    }
    From main.cpp (row 2832)
    Code:
    if(patchmode == 0)
    {
    	cellDbgFontPrintf( 0.5f, 0.07f, 1.2f,0xffffffff,"Patched mode");
    }
    else
    {
    	cellDbgFontPrintf( 0.5f, 0.07f, 1.2f,0xffffffff,"Normal mode");

    We could already do that. Thats nothing new. I've been doing that since demoinstaller came out.

    Some games wont boot with the new eboot.bin file so find it and remove it then it will boot fine. Some work with the updates some without.

    RE5-Gold is one of those games. It refuses to boot with the update so no move support yet.
