    I will just bite the bullet and install the backup manager. Hopefully I'll be able to remove it without a trace later on.
    I tested your evil_test3_patched but its not working. It fails to mount the game.

    The backup manager will leave a mark in 3 files of your ps3, you can either delete it with the ftp or format your hdd.

    \dev_hdd0\vsh\pushlist\game.dat
    \dev_hdd0\vsh\pushlist\patch.dat
    \dev_hdd0\home\00000001\etc\boot_history.dat

    00000001 = 1st Profile
    00000002 = 2nd Profile

    and so on.

    Also the BM is stored in \dev_hdd0\game but you can delete it via menu.

    I can't even get the Backup Manger started. I've unpacked the mangers pkg, made a EBOOT.ELF out of the EBOOT.BIN (with unfself.exe), then I've made a EBOOT.BIN out of this ELF (with make_fself.exe) and copied the new EBOOT.BIN over to USBSTICK:/PS3_GAME/USRDIR...

    What am I missing?

    Can someone compile this for the Maximus AVR USB Dongle?

    It's a AT90USB162, I've tried all the versions so far and none work with it.

    I would imagine that the teensy 1.0/blackcat one will work, but I wouldn't bother with this build yet because we have not been able to enable _dbvd just yet.

    Just a quick question in regard to that. I've got the device on order too [should arrive tomorrow] and looking at the website it states 'board based on the AT90USB 16kb' - looking at the evilsperm hex files they are 33kb. For those devices are they meant to be 16kb, and not 32kb.

    So in other words the Maximus AVR USB devices won't accept the 32kb hex? Mm also looking at the original psgroove and those files are 32kb too. Would this be the problem?

    Oh cool, thanks for the response. I wasn't sure, will try tomorrow. Even though it's not fully working with the BM, I'm keen to try the Lv2 and FTP app. Thanks Evilsperm.
