i bet you can backup to internal to maybe they found it more conveinant to write external xD

it depends on what chip there is in it, i bet it will be doable imho, as its capable of doing the JB (maybe some editing or similar), but i doubt they will theese guys have great reputation ^^

If theyre using the open source hex (which they most likely are) i would say yes, they can be removed.

When you remove the USB dongle the PS3 is uncracked. When you wanna use it for homebrew or games on local harddisc the dongle must be in the PS3.
