PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor Homebrew Application Arrives

Awhile back we reported on a PS3 System File Editor followed by a Linux Edition, and today http://www.360haven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1086 has made available his own version of a PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor homebrew application.

    Download: PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor v1.0.0.0

To quote: I decided to fully research the PARAM.SFO file and make a tool to edit any aspect of it.

And it seems to work really well as far as reading/writing, although I don't have a PS3 to test the saves...

So if anyone experiences a problem then give me all the details...

    How to use:

    1) Open a PARAM.SFO file in the editor.
    2) Right-Click to edit, then save.

Finally, in related news $n!pR has released a similar application dubbed SFOPrint 1.00b (sfoprint - V1.00b.zip) who states the following:

I know there are a bunch of sfo editors/readers but thought I'd try my hand at this. I've made a sfo command line reader that outputs individual parameters. Maybe someone finds this useful...

    Example from a save file:

    c:\sfoprint>sfoprint.exe PARAM.SFO CATEGORY TITLE SUB_TITLE DETAIL SAVEDATA_DIRECTORY
    CATEGORY : SD
TITLE : God of War III
    SUB_TITLE : Destroyed Chambers
    DETAIL : Difficulty: Titan (Hard)
    Play time: 6:24:34
    SAVEDATA_DIRECTORY : BCUS98111-100419183005

You should be able to download it fine from the link above, if not let us know the specific issue and we can try to replicate it.

This is pretty cool, I guess. For people who don't like using hex editor.

I'm getting an Error on all that I've tried.

Index was out or range. Must be non_negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index.

    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

if you only want to copy between 2 PS3s with same account you can copy it via ftp to pc.. start the game at the "new" ps3 and overwrite the savedata afterwards... (that's the way i did it with savegames which didn't let me copy them)

btw: nice tool for sharing savegames

I tried using this to edit the PARAM.SFO for Killzone 3 Demo but I encountered this error:

"Index was out or range. Must be non_negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index."

Any idea on what is causing this?

I've attached a screen of what I get after I've clicked off the error screen and back onto the main window.
