PS3 Open Manager Theme Editor WIP Detailed, Release Incoming

Today PRiSMiWi from Spanish forum Elotrolado.net (linked above) has shared details on a WIP version of his PS3 Open Manager Theme Editor, followed shortly by a Beta release below.

A release is coming soon, and below is a rough translation on the PlayStation 3 homebrew application:

I tried to make a customized theme for my Open Manager, but having to edit the position of the texts a lot of times, without knowing where will they go, and how would the layers be, in which order would they look better, etc... I ended a little bit tired and mad...

So, seeing that people really like to make their own themes, I'd like to make the work of making themes easier, and I'm developing a theme creator/editor... I'd like to introduce you my first addition to the PS3 Scene.

Features:

- Compatible with the last version of Open Manager
- It works with the 8 layers of Open Manager
- It edits the INI from a nice GUI and allows you to see the changes in real time.

It's capable of sorting the layers and drawing them on the desired order, and of loading the text parameters along with the position of the images. The only missing thing is to position the texts, and finally save the "config.ini" file.

PS: This isn't any advancement to the Scene (I'd wish to have time to investigate on the Real Scene (and will to embark myself in such difficult projects)).

I second this! Saves me the headache of friends/family messing something up by using a manager.

i would be happy about a section where we can find all openmanager themes =/

it's a bit sucky on google to find them. don't know if its only for me this problem but i have to search a bit before i find a real thread in a forum or something which has really to do with themes for open manager.

but nice tool, i will see if i am able to use it. the most themes i use aren't working on my 720p beamer. they look crapy. so i am eventualy able to build up my own.

Nice app, will be very useful, can't wait to see more themes being released! I think Warrorar is right, a section for Open Manager themes would be great, good idea!

Theme manager is a least useful thing can be made for OM.

It won't add ability to play GT5...

the most themes i use aren't working on my 720p beamer. they look crapy. so i am eventualy able to build up my own.

multiman looks good on my optoma... the covers look semi shit on occasion but i think thats just whatever res pics they used to make them...

oh nvm lol... ps3 was on 720 since optomas native 720... at 1080 covers , font everything looks great...

This looks nice... having a bit of trouble finding themes. I'm sure they'll come though

I like the idea. It will be interesting to see what kinds of cool themes this might lead to in the future. It also means that if a manager is skinnable we might not get so many different releases where the only real difference is the theme.
