Following up on his previous release, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer SvenGDK has updated PS3 Multi Tools for Windows to version 8.5 with the changes outlined below.

Hi, I got finally time to release a new version of PS Multi Tools. The new version contains not really new functions but lets you customize and use it like you want.

PS Multi Tools v8.5 Changelog:

• Removed the PS Multi Tools Mainmenu to replace it completely with the PS Live Menu.
• Complete cleanup (Removing unused things, cleaned unused code, ...)
• Full PS Multi Tools and PS Live Menu translations for German, French, Luxembourgish, Português brasileiro*, Spanish* and Nederlands, other languages still need to be manually translated.
• MyPS Advanced (Customize PS Multi Tools - Themes ... )
• Realtime notifications (If I just updated something, I will let you know )
• Replaced the black box on the console selection form to a new PS Multi Tools Quick-Setup

What is PS Multi Tools?

PS Multi Tools (previously PS3 Multi Tools) was designed to manage your PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups. It is able to load your PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups from a folder/memory stick (like GAMEZ, GAMES, ...) and reading the PARAM.SFO/SYSTEM.CNF file. You are also able to copy the PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups into an other HDD/Memory Stick.

Following up on his previous updates, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer SvenGDK has released XMBPC v0.9.2 followed by XMBPC v0.9.5 RC, v0.9.7.1 and v0.9.8 which is a PC XMB (Xcross Media Bar) clone with the changelog below.

XMB is a cloned XMB interface that is on the PSP / PS3 main menu. This app mimics the XMB interface (not the system) for use on your PC. So you have the ability to manage all your Videos, Music, Pictures. Just as you would on those Sony Devices but now on a PC.

This even has support for using a PS3 Controller as well. The developer along the way has also added support for some Emulators / Games to launch directly from the XMB. Among many other additions to improve the handling of media on your PC threw this XMB interface.

Other notes:

• To add PSP/PS1/PS2 games you need to select the correct filter on the setup 85.31.189.150/setupnew.png (multiselect works)

• Commandline Switches (/default ; /about ; /xbox) (Via cmd or XMBPC Toolbox GUI)
• /default will start XMBPC directly without setup with default values (MediaPaths = Desktop ; Language = English ; Username = PC Username ; Games = None)
• /about shows a messagebox about XMBPC
• /xbox will skip the "Press the PS button to continue" on the setup and lets you use XMBPC with a XBOX controller

• Fixed: When you exit the internet browser, XMB should get reactivated now
• Added: YouTube can now directly be started under "Video"
