hi, i have my ps3 jailbreaked with a pcb board i made with a pic chip i programmed with my willem. I have put the installer on and i managed to get the manager on aswell then i installed this ftp program. But stupidly i think i have deleted some stuff out of my game folder on my hard drive or my laun1234 folder and now when i look at the ftp program on my ps3 it has a black silverish folder instead of the real icon.
It is the same as this with the manager as well now and some of my save folders can anyone tell me how to fix this please as i don't know what to do.
Can i uninstall the ftp program and install it again and the same with the manager program and if not what would happen if i formatted my hard drive its only my 40gb internal one but if i did so would it ask for a me to put a update in or does it just do that with new drives. And if i have to put a update in can i just put the 3.41 in or would it have to be higher more newer one.
Also a thing i'm not sure about when i try games is i know i haven't to update the firmware as i click on cancel for that but what do i do when it says it has newer software version like 1.01 for the game am i meant to install this and if so how high can i go.
Any ideas why this is happening? Happens on my PS3 as well...
Am having the dropping out issue when trying to transfer files from laptop to ps3 through direct cable connection,
I can connect normaly and if I transfer games between folders on PS3 it works fine its just when i transfer a game from the laptop it fails all the time, its almost like permission issues (maybe).
Any help will be great am using ftp server 1.2 and filezilla also switched between Active and Passive mode. no luck.

back 1.0b and it's working fine, same setup.

so if you are using a direct conection from your laptop/pc to the ps3 what ip addreses do you need to setup as there is no dhcp when doing it this way?
i would use the wireless but when i set my router into dual g/n mode it screws up the download speeds for the N signal.
I installed this and I am using hermes4b. It tells me there is a HDD01 folder on my PS3 now, won't let me list file directory though, same if I try to view my gamez folder on the PS3, it will not do a directory listing. What am I missing as the other ftp program works fine.
Have installed CFW 3.55 kmeaw and installed Gaia 2.05 : testing ftp with it : seems ok (11mb to 13mb/sec : low but normal on my network) Have installed blackbox 1.2 (since it seems to be the most granted apps for transfers)
First thing (strange thing or not... : tell me) : blackbox appaears as a an adult protected content in my soft list : excepting that adult restricted content is turned off $g$ : anyway i can launch it : so it appears to be good...
Second things : when i use Filezilla : i could connect with empty user/pwd BUT i've transfer error on all files i'm putting on queue : no transfer is done. With internal ftp client of gaia 2.05 and empty user/pwd : it works ...
